Good Tasting: August 2017 Edition

What we’re eating and sipping this month

Suds and snacks

Sit & Spin, Fayetteville

File this under Things You Never Knew You Needed: an eco-friendly laundromat where you can soak your duds while snacking on chimichurri-topped sliders, house-pickled mushrooms, jicama salad and the cutest little Arkansas-honey-and-sea-salt donuts you ever did see. We’ll never wash our whites any other way. (737 N. Leverett Ave.; sitspinfay.com)

Pacific Swizzle

Trio’s, Little Rock

Summer’s fading, friends—and with it, your chances for sneaking off to the sea. Good thing the clever barkeeps at Trio’s—one of our faves for housemade-everything cocktails—are stirring up Tiki-inspired drinks, like the passion fruit-kissed Pacific Swizzle. One sip and you’re on the Big Island. Or, you know, kinda. (8201 Cantrell Road; triosrestaurant.com)

Burger

Midtown Billiards, Little Rock

When Midtown went up in flames nearly a year ago, it felt like losing a part of ourselves. (At least we think that’s the case—the finer points of our Midtown memories are understandably a little foggy.) But with the legendary burgers, simply appointed and very curiously delicious, now reinstalled to their place on the menu, we’re feeling whole again. (1316 S. Main St.; facebook.com/midtown-billiards)
