Let’s Bow To This Year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade King and Queen

Hot Springs’ First Ever 15th Annual World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade has named Anthony Valinoti of DeLuca’s Pizzeria Napoletana and Rose Schweikhart of Superior Bathhouse Brewery as this year’s Parade King and Queen. As royalty, they may be pretty green. But this lord and lady plan to reign supreme.

His Royal Highness King Anthony Valinoti

What royal decrees would you like to see carried out in your name?

“I hereby decree that on the greatest day in the City of Hot Springs—the 17th of March, 2018—that all bars shall remain open for 24 hours, that they shall serve free beer and that public rowdiness shall be in full swing.”

What would be the Pizza King’s house motto?

“The Dough is Dawning.”

Any other words or promises for your loyal subjects?

“You will never go hungry as long as I’m the King.”

Her Majesty Queen Rose Schweikhart

What royal decrees would you like to see carried out in your name?

“I hereby decree that St. Patrick’s Day shall always fall on a Saturday so that my loyal subjects may have the maximum amount of fun allowable by law with an extra day to recover.”

What would be the Brewery Queen’s house motto?

“In the Water, Magic Lurks.”

If there was an extravagant legend circulating among the common folk about their Queen, what would it be about?

“It has been rumored that Queen Rose is actually a descendant of Arthur Guinness of Celbridge, the Royal Republic of Ireland, and is a long lost heir to the Guinness Brewery fortune. She is simply biding her time in Hot Springs, making beer for fun.”

The First Ever 15th Annual World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on March 17 in Hot Springs. Bonus: Grand Marshall Joey Fatone of NSYNC and Parade Starter Jon Heder of Napoleon Dynamite will also be holding court that day. Visit shorteststpats.com for more information.
