What’s on Our Plate?

It’s A Foraged-Mushroom Pizza

Arkansas morel mushroom pizza at Zaza Fine Salad & Wood Oven Pizza Co., $22.50

The Dish on The Dish

It’s not that we’re especially averse to foraging, but sometimes the prospect of trudging through untrod undergrowth—well distant from the beaten path, more than likely with the long sticky netting of a spider’s web wrapped around our head—all for a couple morels that’ll make for a bite or two is, uh, less than appetizing. There’s good news, though: Just by walking through Zaza’s door, you can get an entire pizza topped with said morel mushrooms—along with leeks, mozzarella and fontina cheese, creme fraiche, spring herbs, garlic and arugula. Don’t wait, though. The small foraging window means these pies will be in short supply.

The Dish on How to Get The Dish

Keep an eye on Zaza’s Facebook page for the announcement, but the restaurant expects these to start May 1. Visit either location—in Little Rock (5600 Kavanaugh Blvd., Suite 100) or Conway (1050 Ellis Ave., Suite 110). zazapizzaandsalad.com
