February Best Bites

What we’re eating and sipping this month

Power Reuben

The Pedaler’s Pub, Bentonville

The old-world, wood-fired pizzas aren’t the only thing to love at this downtown Bentonville eatery. The Power Reuben—actually, it’s a cross between a Reuben and a Rachel, with pastrami and corned beef—is the perfect way to fuel up after tackling the hills on two wheels. Kiss Me Deadly

109 and Co., Little Rock

Craft cocktails and an air of mystery—is there anything cooler than a speakeasy? We think not, which is why we looked on with anticipation when Maduro Cigar Bar announced it would become 109 and Co. Finally, a place to channel our inner flappers while sipping this modern take on the Widow’s Kiss, a 19th-century classic. (109 Main St.; 109andcompany.com)

Mark’s Do-Nut Shop, North Little Rock

Carrying a box of fried sugary dough into an office full of hungry journalists is not all that dissimilar to stumbling upon a pack of hyenas. And if that box is from Mark’s? It’s best just to set it down and back slowly out of the room. (4015 Camp Robinson Road; (501) 753-2017)
